Personal update:

I'm going to be getting a surgery for my neuro-muscular disease Dystonia. It's called Deep Brain Stimulation.
This video shows someone with Dystonia

This video shows the Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery:

Looking forward to being able to sit at my table in my nice comfy chair and draw stuff. I got 2 more pages finished for Eternal before my surgery. I'll be able to draw alot straighter and ink better after my surgery. Anywho, that's all for now. One. :)-GIO

Well, I've been joining a whole love of places trying to get my work out. Updating my stuff everywhere is taking alot of my time lol Sometimes I don't get to them all. I've tried bookmarking them alot more lately. I've recently discovered a really time efficient and more detailed way to CG illustrate my work. I saw someone doing it on their video. They just recorded their CG process and didn't really explain anything. I was able to fill in the blanks. My sketches are was sloppier than his, but their good enuogh to do a CG. On this blog I'm putting something new I'm working on. As you can see I've got it basically finished. There's just a few details I'm going to add. I need to draw each of the fighter's tatoos and also design a swirly pattern that will appear on each of their trunks. This CG is the most time consuming mentally and physically draining thing I've ever worked on lol I spent all day one day drawing the background and all 50 people (estimated) in the background. I've spent the last few days adding differences to each person. Different skin tone, different hair styles, different tshirt designs ( the tshirt designs were actually sort of fun for me. It was fun getting creative with it.) If you look closely at the audience you can see some pretty funny things ( if you don't have fun doing what you do, then why are you doing it, that's what I say lol) One guy has a Kid an' Play haircut, another guy has a Charlie Brown style tshirt. Another guy has his fingers pointing up and eyes clenched shut grinning his head off with his feet in the chair. Another guy has his hand over his mouth like, " Oh sh*t did you see that!" lol I'm sure there's a few anatomy errors. I was going more for excitement with everyone not so much anatomically correct. And plus, I figured they're too far away to notice and the two in the foreground's detailed anatomy more than makes up for the audience's lack in perfect anatomy. Our little secret, dont' tell nobody lol. ;) I easily could have used a few photoshop tricks and only drew abuot 3 or four different people in different poses and copied and pasted them all over the place, but that means I would have had to sacrifice personality in my piece, and I'm not having that sorry lol. :) If anyone here wants to see my other recent CG's check out my Myspace. And if you'd like to check out my graphic novel I'm working on, I have it up on Comicspace and update new pages as I finish them :) I've been sort of on haitus with Eternal ( that's my graphic novel I'm working on, one word, easy to remember, and best of all, copyright protected :) Yep, the Eternal "E" logo belongs to me baby! lol) I'll keep everyone here updated on new pages of Eternal as I do them. I have a few pages coming up that sort of have a Sin City feel to them. I wanted to do the black and white silhouette look because I love Sin City's art style. I think manga could benefit from it's visual genious :) Did you know Yasuhiro Nightow actually admires Frank Miller's work? More specifically his comic Big Guy and Rusty, which was a cartoon I used to watch and absolutly love man :) Never knew it was originally done by Frank Miller though! Apparently he came up with Robocop too. He also drew for Batman in the 80's. Yeah, I like to read up on my favorite artists lol Don't ask me what his favorite color is, I'm not a stalker man lol :) Well, that's all for now. I'll keep everyone updated on newer stuff. I've got something really off the wall for my next CG. Always good to think with the right side of my brain when drawing :) Stay up everybody. One!-GIO

Ps.- Shouts to Juan Aravelo! That's my HERMANO right there! What tha dilly Juan! lol :D
